Puttenahalli lake – JP Nagar Bangalore – a compact birding spot

Location: JP Nagar, 7th PHASE ( not BLOCK)

Landmark: Brigade Millennium or MLR Convention Hall. The lake is right next to it.
I am surprised to find birds here because the lake is surrounded by encroachments, cacophony of builders and quite a lot of filth lying around.
But, to the credit of PLIT ( Puttenahalli Lake Improvement Trust), the lake itself is well maintained .
I landed up at an untimely 10 am and found only a kingfisher and a lapwing.
You will forgive me for multiple images of these two as I have little else to showcase.
A must – visit for birders between 6 AM and 9 AAM.
